His words resonate at a scary level. His paralleling early life and competitive struggles mirror my own almost too well, while giving insight into some of the cultural differences between our differing countries. I can hardly believe how well it applies to both competitions and unrelated real world experiences. If "Playing to Win" by David Sirlin is the fighting gamer's "bible", then "The Will to Keep Winning" is version 2.0, as if adding a 3rd Testament.

I just received the 1st of two books I ordered from Amazon today written by Kim Arcand and Megan Watzke! "Light The Visible Spectrum and Beyond" and all I can say is WOW! This hardcover book is Spectacular in Every Detail from the Unbelieveable Images to the Accompanying Narratives that describe each Aspect of Light in Fine Detail! I thought I knew something about light since I've been a photographer all of my life and have a high-level of interest in Astronomy and the Sciences, but I've never seen another book like it! I have to consider this book the entire "Encyclopedia of Light!" It's a MUST HAVE for all Astronomers, Astrophotographers, Cosmologists, Physicists, or anyone else interested in learning about the many Fascinating Properties of Light! Purchase this well-written book for yourself or as a gift for your child, a family member or friend! You will not be disappointed! The images in this book are absolutely stunning! What an absolutely top quality book. It's beautiful as a physical object and packed with fascinating information. I also love that the authors are women, as women in STEM are so important. My husband and I are excited to read LIGHT with our son, and I would recommend this book for all families who enjoy reading books together that are informative and fun.

This is our second book from Arcand and Watzke and we absolutely love it. The pictures are stunning and match with the text to help you really understand different aspects of light. My seven year old daughter has a particular interest in astronomy and constellations, so anything related to the "stars" she loves, and she really liked the parts where you can see how different types of light can reveal different looking images. This book helps you understand what is going on from a science perspective, particularly if you're not a scientist, and now I can actually explain a thing or two. Really an awesome book for all ages.

This is a very good book.

This is a detailed, well researched study of natural sources for helping arthritis sufferers. It is very thorough, covering diet, herbs and vitamins, exercise, natural pain relieving methods, ( i.e. acupuncture and more).
After reading it on kindle I decided to purchase a hard copy to refer to some information more readily. So, I recommend this book to arthritis sufferers who want to stop taking medication and pain relievers that in the end do not cure, but even do even more damage to the body than the disease.

About the Author

Se-Kwon Kim, Ph.D., is a professor of marine biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Pukyong National University (PKNU), Busan, South Korea. Dr. Kim received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from PKNU and became a faculty member there. He conducted his postdoctoral study at the Bioprocess Laboratory, Department of Food Science and Technology, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois USA (1988-1989). He became a visiting scientist at the Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada (1999-2000).

Dr. Kim was the editor-in-chief of the Korean Journal of Life Sciences (1995- 1997), the Korean Journal of Fisheries Science and technology (2006- 2007) and the Korean Journal of Marine Bioscience and Biotechnology (2006- present). To the credit of his research, he won best paper awards from the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) and the Korean Society of Fisheries Science and Technology (KSFST) in 2002.

His major research interests are investigation and development of bioactive substances derived from marine organisms and their application as cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals via marine bioprocessing and mass production technologies. He expanded his research fields into the industrialization of antiphotoaging and photoprotective substances from marine organisms.

He has authored over 450 research papers, holds 72 patents, and has written or edited more than 30 books.
