My personal preference is those written by Xavier from the messages by Luiz rather than Emmanuel. There are meaningful and worthwhile messages in The Way, The Truth, and The Life by the very nature of the subject matter, but book seems more organized around Spiritism as a doctrine than others I've read by Xavier.

The most important book on sound in 150 years.

When R. Murray Schafer first published TUNING OF THE WORLD (the subtitle of this edition) in 1977, it had a stunning and lasting affect on musicians and recordists throughout the world. Every facet of this work is important to know about and the narrative still reads like a contemporary novel - impossible to put down and never dated. He informs us how to re-train our ears to listen better and more wisely. He defines, for the first time, the soundscape and the myriad ways it fits into and affects our lives.

This book is seminal to my work as a naturalist and sound designer and I have read it many times in the past three decades. It is that important.

Johnny Marr was born in 1960s Manchester to Irish immigrant parents and knew from an early age that he would be a musician.

Harry Hemond is William E. Leonhard Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has authored numerous scientific papers on biogeochemistry and related environmental topics. A review for DAD technic exercise books.

The DAD series is an excellent approach for good technical skills in 99% of the students I teach. The books are fun, cover scales, arpeggios and chords. I would encourage teachers to try all the levels for their students. I find the books work with all the various method books that are available. I have used these technic books throughout my teaching career, which now spans 40 years. Hope this will encourage teachers to try a new technic series that is fun for students.

About the Author
Since 1986, Martin Powell has been a freelance writer. He has written hundreds of stories, many of which have been published by Disney, Marvel, Tekno comix, Moonstone Books, and others. About the Author
Charles E. Speaks, PhD, is a Distinguished Morse-Alumni Professor Emeritus in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the University of Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Ohio University and his PhD degree from the University of Michigan. He taught an undergraduate/graduate-level course in acoustics at the University of Minnesota for 39 years, and developed an undergraduate course on the physics and biology of spoken language. Dr. Speaks was awarded a Distinguished Teacher Award by the College of Liberal Arts in 1977, a Horace T. Morse-Minnesota Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education in 1997, and was inducted into the University of Minnesota Academy of Distinguished Teachers in 1999. Dr. Speaks also was awarded the Honors of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2002.
